Interested in becoming a SSI Dive Control Specialist?
If so, please come in to register on Monday the 9th of January 2012 at 6:00 PM at Divers Unlimited.

Cost is $1200.00 which includes books. 
This course includes Dive Guide and Dive Master specialty ratings.

Requirements are:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Advanced Diver Rating
• 60 logged dives 
• Complete a watermanship evaluation
  

Have completed the following specialties:
(May be completed during Dive Control Specialist Course)

First Aid and CPR Certified
DAN Oxygen Provider Certified
Stress & Rescue Diver or equivalent
Nitrox 
Navigation Diver
Night/Limited Visibility Diver

This is the motto that we live by, and with Divers Unlimited you�ll learn and practice each skill until you are totally comfortable from head to fin! These courses introduce the novice to underwater scuba diving. Upon completion, the student will be qualified under the guidelines of SSI (Scuba Schools International) to buy air fills, equipment and conduct or participate in recreational diving in conditions comparable to or better than those during training.

To make the adventure of learning to scuba dive affordable for everyone, Divers Unlimited makes no profit from our Learn-To-Dive classes. Your cost includes Course Materials (including your own Dive Log), Pool sessions, Certification Card, and rental gear for both pool sessions and certification dives. The rental gear consists of wet suit, weight integrated buoyancy compensator (BC), weights, regulator with gauges and octopus, and air tanks. 

The student is required to provide their own fins, mask, snorkel, boots, gloves and hood. (Approx. cost for purchasing personal gear can range from $200-$400) (Please see our Basic Student Package pricing) All students of Divers Unlimited of Norfolk, Inc. will be given a 15% discount from our regular posted prices off all purchases made in the shop for in-stock items. We already have the best prices in town and you�ll get even better pricing!!!

Requirements: 16 hours class/pool & 5 certification dives (additional costs apply if doing the certification dives with Divers Unlimited). Students must be 10 yrs old to receive an SSI Junior Open Water certification and 15+ yrs for an SSI Open Water certification.

Class Sessions are held at Divers Unlimited of Norfolk, Inc. and run from 6 pm - 10 p.m. We do offer some weekend classes. 
Pool Sessions are conducted at the Northside Pool in Norfolk, VA., and take place on Saturday from approximately 12:30 pm. - 5 pm.
Open water dives are conducted at Lake Rawlings, Rawlings, VA - these meet Saturday at 9:30am until mid-afternoon and then meet again on Sunday morning at 9:00am till 2pm on Sunday. �Some class members decide to spend the night at a nearby motel (approx. $55.00), but that is optional. There are also primitive camping facilities at Lake Rawlings, reservations required.
